REV. DAVID E. SCHEIFELE
Founding Mentor
David surrendered to Jesus as his Lord and Savior when he was 10 years old in Sunday School and was baptized at 16. Led by his father, David began mentoring through jail ministry at 13.
As a young man, he graduated from Bible college and began to pursue ministry opportunities, starting off with seven years as a youth pastor/associate pastor.
David has always had a heart for people, and the Lord has led him to many varied opportunities prior to the pastorate—everything from working with young offenders and helping developmentally delayed adults and children, to serving on men's ministry teams through the local church.
In 2016, David felt God calling him to be more intentional with mentoring, and he began to organize a mission called Kingdom Mentors. Kingdom Mentors was launched in November 2021 with 10 dedicated men on the team.
David and his beautiful wife, Kristine, of 36 years, are blessed with three wonderful adult children, and one amazing daughter-in-law. David and Kristine reside in Waterloo Region, Ontario, and worship/serve in their local church. David has 3 mentors of his own.
JASON BASKERVILLE
Senior Facilitator
Jason Baskerville is a father of six wonderful kids and husband to Judy for 18 years.
His educational background includes training as a Spiritual Director through Sustainable Faith, and a degree in pastoral theology from Emmanuel Bible College. This is where Jason and David met.
As founder of The Listening Well Spiritual Direction, Jason's vocation as an active Spiritual Director is an outlet for his desire to offer care for people's souls and help them grow in their relationship with Christ while experiencing different rhythms than those offered by the world. When he's not busy managing the melee of activity at home, he enjoys reading, fishing, basketball, paintball and being outdoors enjoying God's creation.
